Growing up without a father has not hindered Andra Farizki Ramdhani from striving for a better future. Raised by his mother, who is the sole provider for the family, Andra, a 10th-grade student at People’s High School (SRMA 10) in South Jakarta, has found new opportunities through the People’s School initiative introduced by President Prabowo Subianto. Despite facing financial challenges, Andra expressed his gratitude for the People’s School, which has allowed him to access quality education.

The People’s School where Andra studies is a boarding school, offering a unique environment for learning. Although adjusting to dorm life has its challenges, Andra finds solace in the camaraderie of his peers. He follows a strict daily schedule, starting with morning prayers, exercise, and classes, and ends the day by calling his mother. Despite the monotony of the routine, Andra values the friendships he has formed with his roommates.

Andra praised the facilities at SRMA 10, noting that they exceeded his expectations. The comfortable living arrangements and conducive learning environment have helped him stay focused on his studies. Engaging in extracurricular activities like judo and participating in school clubs has also enriched his overall school experience. Andra dreams of pursuing a career as a judo athlete and furthering his education at the Defense University (Unhan), a goal that he attributes to his mother’s unwavering support.

Grateful for the opportunity to study without financial constraints, Andra sees the People’s School as a beacon of hope for underprivileged students who are eager to learn. Unlike traditional schools with additional costs, the People’s School provides a cost-free education, eliminating barriers for students like Andra. With determination and his mother’s blessings, Andra believes that his dreams are attainable through the support and opportunities offered by the People’s School.
