Prabowo Subianto, President of Indonesia, warmly received Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra, the President of Peru, at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta. The event was graced by the presence of approximately 3,000 students from elementary to high school levels from across the capital. President Boluarte’s motorcade, escorted by motorcycle troops and mounted guards, made its grand entrance from the National Monument (Monas) to the palace gates. Upon arrival, President Boluarte was personally greeted by President Prabowo, and the two leaders then stood together on the ceremonial podium as the national anthems of Peru and Indonesia reverberated through the air. The honor guard was inspected, and respects were paid to the national flags of each country. Subsequently, President Prabowo introduced his official delegation, which included top officials such as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of State Secretariat, Minister of Trade, and others. A bilateral meeting between the two heads of state was aimed at enhancing the relationship between Indonesia and Peru, both of which are APEC members. This meeting served as a gesture of reciprocity following President Prabowo’s visit to Peru the previous year.
