The Free Health Check in Schools (CKG) program in Indonesia aims to benefit 53 million students in all types of educational institutions under the Ministry of Religious Affairs. With a population of 285 million, Indonesia is the fourth-largest country in the world, making it crucial to ensure that every citizen, including school students, receives free health checks. President Prabowo’s vision of a Golden Generation by 2045 has led to the implementation of various strategic policies and priority programs, such as Free Nutritious Meals, Capacity Expansion of Public Hospitals, and Digital Learning Initiatives.
President Prabowo has also signed regulations to support child protection and provide allowances for medical specialists in remote areas. The Ministry of Religious Affairs is committed to inclusive service delivery, including all religious-based education units like madrasahs, pesantrens, and Christian, Catholic, Hindu, and Buddhist schools. Minister Nasaruddin Umar emphasized the importance of CKG in religious schools to support the vision of a healthy, intelligent, and globally competitive generation by 2045.
With over 12.5 million students under the Ministry’s supervision eligible for CKG services, the cooperation of religious schools is essential. Ministers have urged schools to support the initiative by providing necessary equipment and actively participating in technical support and coordination. Regional and District Heads of the Ministry of Religious Affairs have been instructed to closely monitor the program’s implementation to ensure all schools take the initiative seriously. Failure to do so may result in special attention from the authorities.
