The Free Health Check in Schools program (CKG Sekolah) was officially launched on Monday, August 4, 2025, in 12 schools with enthusiastic participation from students. Fritz Edward Siregar, Deputy for Information Coordination and Communication Evaluation at the Presidential Communication Office (PCO), mentioned that CKG Sekolah is a foundational effort in building Indonesia’s golden generation. This school-based initiative is part of the broader Free Health Check (CKG) program initiated in February 2025.
CKG is a crucial component of President Prabowo Subianto’s Fast Results for the Best Outcomes program, aiming to build and prepare the golden generation of Indonesia. The initiative started with health checks at community health centers and has now expanded to schools nationwide, including elementary, middle, and high schools. At the launch event at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 8 in South Jakarta, the role of parents in encouraging their children to participate in the health checks was emphasized by Presidential Chief of Staff Lieutenant General (Ret.) Anto Mukti (AM) Putranto.
During the launch event, 617 students at MIN 8 in South Jakarta underwent 13 types of health screenings conducted by medical personnel from the Srengseng Sawah and Jagakarsa Community Health Centers. These screenings include assessments on nutritional status, smoking habits, physical activity levels, blood pressure, blood sugar, tuberculosis, ear and eye exams, dental check-ups, mental health, liver function, reproductive health, and immunization history.
Launched as part of President Prabowo Subianto’s Fast Results for the Best Outcomes agenda, CKG is a cornerstone of the health sector’s transformation in Indonesia, focusing on promotive and preventive care. The program aims to reach 60 million beneficiaries by the end of 2025 and eventually expand to cover the entire Indonesian population. CKG services are accessible through various channels, including community health centers, integrated health posts, schools, BPJS clinics, offices, and local communities, facilitated by the SATUSEHAT Mobile app and Ministry of Health’s WhatsApp channel.
As of July 30, 2025, over 15 million people have benefited from the program, with a recent focus on reaching over 53 million students in elementary to high schools across Indonesia. CKG represents a significant step towards improving the healthcare system in Indonesia and promoting overall well-being among its population.
