During the 27th anniversary celebration of the National Awakening Party (PKB) at the Jakarta Convention Center, Prabowo emphasized the importance of maintaining firm positions in economic negotiations, particularly with the United States, despite the challenges. He acknowledged the turbulent state of the world and stressed Indonesia’s dedication to maintaining a balanced and non-aligned stance, while also highlighting the difficulty many countries, including Indonesia, face in economic dealings with the U.S.
Prabowo underscored his responsibility to protect Indonesian workers and prevent mass layoffs, stating that his approach is driven by the commitment to safeguard the interests of the people. He acknowledged the public scrutiny that comes with government decisions, noting the importance of constructive criticism but also expressing concern over relentless cynicism. Despite facing criticism, Prabowo affirmed his administration’s focus on national resilience, worker protection, and fair global engagement without compromising Indonesia’s sovereignty or the well-being of its citizens.
