President Prabowo Subianto recently visited former President Joko Widodo at his residence in Solo to discuss updates from his recent state visits to several countries, including Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Belgium, and France. During the meeting, Prabowo shared details about the breakthrough achieved in negotiations with the European Union, particularly regarding the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) after a decade of discussions.

Accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Prabowo arrived at Jokowi’s residence, where they were warmly welcomed by Jokowi and First Lady Iriana. The meeting was described as cordial and relaxed, covering various current issues and highlights from Prabowo’s 15-day diplomatic tour.

Expressing gratitude for the positive outcomes of the international engagements, Prabowo mentioned his visit to Belarus, emphasizing the potential for trade partnerships between the two countries. He highlighted Indonesia’s strong global standing and commitment to neutrality, stating the nation’s active involvement in economic cooperation while respecting the sovereignty of other countries.

During the meeting, Prabowo was accompanied by State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, Foreign Minister Sugiono, and Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Angga Raka Prabowo. The discussions underscored Indonesia’s pursuit of friendly relations with all nations, maintaining a non-aligned stance and avoiding interference in other countries’ internal affairs to garner widespread acceptance on the global stage.
