Jakarta – Indikator Politik Indonesia recently conducted a new survey regarding the presidential election dispute at the Constitutional Court (MK). The results show that 63.4 percent of the majority of the people do not agree with the cancellation of the registration of the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka pair as participants in the 2024 election. And as many as 68.6 percent also disagree with a re-vote without the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka pair.
“So, completely disagreeing totals nearly 69 percent,” said Indikator Politik Director Burhanudin Muhtadi at a press conference on Sunday (21/4/2024).
He also explained that 47.8 percent of the people are aware of the decision of the General Election Commission (KPU) regarding the results of the 2024 election and 73.8 percent trust that decision.
“Regarding the ongoing trial of the 2024 presidential election dispute at the Constitutional Court, around 52.6 percent also know about it, and 71.8 percent of the majority of the people believe that the Constitutional Court will issue a fair decision regarding the dispute over the results of the 2024 presidential election,” explained Burhanuddin.
The survey was conducted on April 4-5, 2024, with 1,201 respondents using the random digit dialing (RDD) method. The target population of this survey is Indonesian citizens aged 17 years and above or married and have a telephone/cellphone, around 83% of the total national population.
The margin of error for the survey is estimated at ± 2.9% with a 95% confidence level, assuming simple random sampling. Interviews were conducted over the phone by trained interviewers.
