Kimi Antonelli, current leader of the Formula 1 championship, recently spent part of his Easter break at Valentino Rossi’s VR46 Motor Ranch in Tavullia, Italy. Antonelli, who has been performing well in the 2026 season with consecutive wins at the Chinese and Japanese Grands Prix, is establishing himself as a strong title contender. With a five-week break in the F1 calendar due to the cancellation of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix, the Italian driver opted for an exciting weekend at Rossi’s ranch.
During the Easter weekend, Antonelli shared videos on social media showcasing his time at the dirt-track ranch with current MotoGP rider Marco Bezzecchi and members of the VR46 Academy. While his companions took to the track, Antonelli seemed content to observe the action from solid ground as the others navigated the dirt.
Heading into the break, Antonelli leads the drivers’ standings with 72 points, followed by his Mercedes teammate George Russell in second place with 63 points. Reflecting on his position after the Japanese Grand Prix, Antonelli expressed his satisfaction but acknowledged that it was still early to focus on the championship race. Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton trail behind in third and fourth place, respectively.
The next event on the F1 calendar is the Miami Grand Prix scheduled to take place from May 1-3 at the Miami International Autodrome. As Antonelli enjoys a break filled with adrenaline and excitement, fans eagerly anticipate the remainder of the season and the battle for the championship title.
