Fabio di Giannantonio secured pole position for VR46 in the MotoGP Brazilian Grand Prix after coming through Q1, despite facing a late crash during qualifying. The Goiania circuit, which had dried up after heavy rain earlier in the weekend, caused a number of riders to fall during qualifying. Francesco Bagnaia was the first to go down in Q2, followed by championship leader Pedro Acosta and Marc Marquez. Despite the drama, di Giannantonio managed to grab provisional pole on the VR46 Ducati, with Marquez in second place. Although riders like Jorge Martin and Marco Bezzecchi showed strong performance, no one was able to outpace di Giannantonio, who clinched his second pole position in MotoGP. The grid also saw riders like Fabio Quartararo, Ai Ogura, Fermin Aldeguer, and Alex Marquez securing decent positions for the race. Overall, the qualifying session was filled with surprises and crashes, setting the stage for an exciting MotoGP Brazilian Grand Prix.
Factory Honda rider Joan Mir ended up in 13th place on the grid, narrowly missing out on a spot in Q2. Diogo Moreira on the LCR Honda followed closely behind. The session also saw riders like Franco Morbidelli, Raul Fernandez, and Alex Rins securing mid-field positions. Jack Miller and Luca Marini suffered crashes, resulting in lower grid positions for the race. The full grid of 22 bikes was rounded out by the KTMs of Maverick Vinales, Brad Binder, and Enea Bastianini. In the end, di Giannantonio’s pole position set the stage for an exciting MotoGP race in Brazil.
