Max Verstappen, four-time Formula 1 world champion, is set to participate in the iconic Nurburgring 24 Hours race this year alongside Mercedes. The Dutch driver will debut at the German endurance classic on 14-17 May with the Winward team, competing under the Verstappen Racing banner. He will be driving the #3 Mercedes-AMG GT3 alongside factory drivers Lucas Auer and Jules Gounon, as well as Daniel Juncadella. Auer, Gounon, and Juncadella have extensive experience at the Nurburgring Nordschleife and also race together for Winward in GT World Challenge Europe.

To prepare for the event, the team will participate in the upcoming NLS2 race on 21 March, which was rescheduled to accommodate Verstappen’s involvement. Last year, Verstappen drove an Emil Frey Ferrari 296 GT3 at the Nurburgring Nordschleife and expressed his excitement about racing at the 24-hour event this year. Mercedes will field two Performance Teams at the Nordschleife enduro, including the Verstappen Racing entry. The team is looking forward to strong support from Red Bull and Mercedes-AMG Motorsport as they gear up for the challenging race.
