President Prabowo Subianto from Indonesia received a warm welcome from Indonesian citizens upon his arrival in New Delhi, India. Among the eager crowd was Nadine Ardiani Chairunisa, an Indonesian student studying Marketing Communication at Amity University, who waited since 5pm to greet Prabowo. Accompanied by friend Demas Fadel Anggara, they described the experience as both exciting and nerve-wracking due to delays. Other Indonesian individuals present, including Rajendra, Marvell, and Adyatama, expressed their gratitude for Prabowo’s personal gesture of shaking hands with them upon arrival. They expressed hopes for a successful working visit in India and a promising future under Prabowo’s leadership.
Prabowo’s visit to India not only signifies a new chapter in bilateral relations but also commemorates the 75th anniversary of diplomatic cooperation between Indonesia and India. Before departing from Jakarta, Prabowo expressed pride in being invited as the chief guest at India’s 76th Republic Day celebrations, viewing it as a great honor for Indonesia. He highlighted the involvement of Indonesian TNI troops in the event, showcasing the strong ties between the two nations. The visit also includes planned meetings with Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss enhancing cooperation on various strategic issues.
